Celebrate your magical day in Arbroath Abbey, a potent symbol of our nation. The Abbey was founded in 1178 and is famous in Scottish history for its association with the Declaration of Arbroath. In this document of 1320, Scotland’s nobles swore their independence from England. The Abbey features an imposing twin-towered west front which soars high into the sky, whilst the presbytery and the ‘Round O’ of the South transept window is an instantly recognisable local landmark. Your ceremony can be held in a choice of indoor or outdoor areas.
