Nestled in the heart of the Angus Glens, Glen Clova Estate offers a truly unique wedding experience surrounded by some of Scotland's most breathtaking scenery. With rolling hills, dramatic landscapes and stunning views across the glen, it provides the perfect backdrop for your special day.
Our purpose-built wedding barn can host ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations for up to 150 guests, while couples also have the option of outdoor ceremonies overlooking the glen or celebrations within the nearby historic kirk.
One of the things that makes Glen Clova Estate so special is that your entire wedding can take place in one location. From welcoming guests the night before, to your ceremony, evening celebrations and farewell breakfast, your wedding becomes more than just a day – it becomes a memorable experience shared with family and friends.
We offer accommodation for up to 88 guests across our hotel rooms, steading rooms, self-catering lodges and luxury houses, many featuring private hot tubs. This allows your nearest and dearest to stay on-site and enjoy everything the estate has to offer throughout the weekend.
Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a larger gathering, our experienced team will work closely with you to create a relaxed, personal and unforgettable wedding in one of Scotland's most beautiful settings.

It's the perfect venue and setting, and so many good opportunities for photos nearby. The Glen Clova wedding planning team were so helpful from when we first reserved the date, straight through to the wedding day and beyond and were always available to provide answers and assistance. From the outset the staff were warm, friendly, and professional, and we never doubted that our day was in very safe hands. The hotel is situated in a very picturesque setting, which made an incredible back-drop for our wedding photos. - JJane10/08/2022Perfect day Perfect dayMy husband and I have a real soft spot for the beautiful Glen Clova so when we heard the hotel were doing weddings we just had to get married there, in the heart of the Glen. Our day was amazing thanks to Mhairi and her team at the hotel who were all so lovely and organised. The day went smoothly apart from a small electrical glitch in the evening thanks to the dj’s equipment but this certainly didn’t dampen the spirits. Overall the day was even better than we could have imagined, just perfect! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
This is a tricky one as there are so many, we just love the versatility and the creativity that comes from our wedding couples. So whether that's Alpacas joining you for a photo opportunity, having our staff dress up as jockeys for a Grand National day wedding, having a vintage themed wedding with china cups and Pimms, having a Harry Potter themed wedding or having the Red Hot Chili Pipers play for the evening, there's always a great moment at every wedding.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember its the pair of you getting married, so make sure that whatever you organise its for you guys.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
There are so many, the tear-jerking speeches, the special gifts, the intimate moments shared, we just love them all. My personal favourite though is when the dads make their speeches and they just well up at how amazing their daughter is, guaranteed to get our eyes watering too!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We have our own Loch - Loch Heath which is a stunning setting. Standing on the pontoons, looking out over the water with the trees reflected in it is truly magical. For the more adventurous you could walk to Corrie Fee or Loch Brandy where the scenery is breathtaking.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
That would be telling :) We value our couples privacy so don't announce any celebrities
What’s your favourite canapé?
Haggis bon-bons without a doubt
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
My favourite has got to be traditional Scottish stovies which is a traditional evening delicacy
What is your venue's most unique feature?
That we are dog-friendly and your dog can join in with all aspects of your wedding! We love dogs at Glen Clova. If you want your pooch to join you at your top table that's fine, we'll make sure that him or her enjoys a lovely bowl of food too!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The staff and how everyone pulls together on a wedding day. We're not a huge place but many of us have been here for years so know each others ways really well which makes for a really smooth day for our wedding couples.
