'My husband and I finally got married at Abbey House 03-09-22, due to Covid our wedding was postponed. When planning a wedding you never expect it to be cancelled, Abbey House relieved us from all the stress and moved the wedding to the date of our choosing. Wedding coordinators Laura and Lauren were amazing from start to finish. Everything ran so smoothly, made us feel so comfortable and stress free, could not of wished for better service! We can not recommend Abbey House enough! Wish we could do it all again'

'We had our wedding at Abbey House on 21-08-22. A long awaited wedding that unfortunately had to be pushed back due to covid. I honestly cannot thank the staff at Abbey House enough, Lauren & Laura did everything they could to make our day just perfect! The rest of the staff throughout the day and night as well were just fantastic and really felt a part of our special day! There attention to detail is second to none and every single little thing was just perfect! From the night prior until the morning after, nothing was ever too much to ask! It was the most beautiful day and I honestly cannot than the team enough'

'Laura, Lauren and her team pulled out all the stops to make our day the best it could be. Perfect sun topped the day off. Multiple meetings and clarity throughout. The receptionists were attentive and outgoing and the bar staff were friendly, experienced and positive thoughout the day. They looked after the bride for her entire stay and the summer suite was fantastic, followed by the princess suite was amazing too. Perhaps the only situational downside was the lack of air conditioning during the hottest weekend of the summer that we happened upon, but being in barrow, you would never have expected it anyway. The wedding team were cool, collected and extremely well organised. They were able to facilitate any request and made the day stress free. I would highly recommend anyone to use this as a spot on wedding venue'

Lauren & all staff at Abbey House made our wedding day so special and the attention to detail was outstanding. We changed our wedding date at short notice and Abbey House were able to move the date easily for us. We had a small intimate ceremony and a large evening reception and it all went so smoothly. We would highly recommend Abbey House if you are getting married. Thank you so much.

'Exceptional from start to finish. We had a few wedding venues to look at, but this just trumped everything. We booked back in 2018 and had to postpone because of Covid. We heard some horror stories from friends with cancellations and messing about, but Abbey House, helped us throughout the awful times and made us feel at ease and safe, nothing was too much trouble. Fast forward 4 years, Laura & Lauren were unbelievable. We had issues with late additions and family, but nothing was too much even in the last week with some food changes. As a same sex couple, the genuine love for what they do was very evident, we felt so at ease and it felt like they were part of the wedding, always on hand to help out, taking any stress away. They even managed to find two of our family members who got lost on site and returned them to us! We are so unbelievably happy we chose this venue and this team because they are incredible. And the food, honestly wow! We cannot thank Abbey House, Laura, Lauren, the wedding team and all the other staff who smiled, said hello and made us feel so welcome, the groundskeepers, night porters, waitresses, waiters, receptionists and house keepers, you are all amazing and please do not change you are the reason everyone loves it. 'We have just recently had our wedding at Abbey House and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were great and the overall wedding was just fantastic. A big mention of Laura and Lauren who were our wedding coordinators, they helped me throughout the whole process and helped make the day run smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. If you’re planning a wedding then Abbey House is the place to have it. Beautiful hotel and grounds and fantastic staff.'
