What is your most memorable wedding?
They are all memorable in their own ways, but probably one of the first weddings I did with a friend. He had a 1956 Cadillac, and we were picking the bride and bridesmaids up. It was in Newport, South Wales and the groom was one of the players from Newport Gwent Dragons rugby team - and we ended up taking one or two Welsh internationals in the cars that day as well.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Vintage, American, 1950s, Smart, Warm.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Having run it so successfully for so long and always amazing the bride and groom with the level of service, and a stunning car of course.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It is all about the planning - go and see that car before you book it if you can, just like you would the venue.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Small individual bottles of champagne for every guest with their name on the bottle!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
The initial inquiry will allow me to see if I am available, and cover the area in question. Once that is confirmed, I gather all of the necessary postcode information, timings, number of trips and so on, and then provide a quote. The offer is always available to come and see the car in person and I do encourage this because whilst photos are great, they are never as good as seeing it in person. You also get to meet the driver!
What is the most original entrance you have given to a wedding couple?
In terms of venue, I would say Warwick Castle one late afternoon. Driving into the main castle with tourists and visitors there, and then the bride and groom coming out whilst dusk was falling was pretty special.
What is your dream car and why?
Apart from the ones we own, I would like a 1947 Mercury convertible because they are just so cool.
What would be your No. 1 tip for arriving in style?
Be comfortable in what you are wearing, both how it makes you feel and look - and appropriate for the temperature!
What is your favourite movie car chase?
Bullitt - the legendary chase with the Ford Mustang and the Dodge Charger.
