What about your business are you most proud of?
I LOVE my business name, I think it's really quirky and different for a wedding stationery industry. "Half Pint" is my childhood nickname. My parents gave it to me when I was very young as I was so much shorter than my older sister. Even now, as an adult I am still stuck with it.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Just simply enjoy it. The planning is the most exciting part. Enjoy it. Have fun filling scrap books with ideas and inspiration together and really let your wedding show your personality.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of the first designs I created was a french country lavender theme, as requested by the bride. Her groom said she could choose whatever she wanted for the design. With one condition. His pride possession Land Rover had to be included somewhere. So I created a teeny tiny purple silhouette of a Land Rover and located it on the back on the invitation, by the RSVP details. They were over the moon that I managed to include both contrasting elements of what they wanted yet still kept it classy and elegant!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Customers browse my extensive collection of designs. When they fall in love with own of my illustrative invitations, I then set to work personalising them. All my invitations are printed to order, so I can use the exact wording for your guest invitations. I then provide digital proofs of their stationery before I print, so the couple can see how their stationery is going to look and make any changes if they want.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
It's got to be the actual guest invitations. It's that very first glimpse your guests have of your exciting wedding plans. It's got to make a good impression! It's got to make them squeal with excitement as it arrives in the post.
What is your best seller?
My best seller is my Lavender Wedding Invitations. They are just so delicately illustrated and they are perfect for country themed outdoor weddings.
