Heritage Pearls is owned by Joanne Stafford, who was born into and raised in the world of vintage and antique jewellery. Joanne's is the third in a line of family jewellery businesses. Joanne’s grandparents, Thomas and Margaret Moodie, founded T. S. Moodie in Halifax, which traded within the family until 2004. Joanne’s parents, Ian and Jean Moodie, founded and managed Toll House Jewellery in nearby Ripponden from 1980 until their retirement in 2020. It is within Toll House that Joanne learnt and developed the art of restringing, restoring and creating beautiful made to order pieces and it is that craft that Heritage Pearls seeks to continue.
