Bridget epitomises the term designer/maker with an instinctive talent and curiosity that has stayed with her from her childhood in rural Hertfordshire. She studied at Watford School of Art and then at Birmingham School of Jewellery. After graduating in 1983, Bridget developed her early distinctive collections in pvc, resin and silver and sold to shops and Galleries around the world, including 'Liberty' of London.
In 1985 Bridget moved to Oxfordshire and set up her first workshop 'Unikkii' on the multi cultural Cowley Road. In 2000, she formed Bridget Wheatley Contemporary Jewellery, earning a reputation for her gem set rings and her sometimes bold...sometimes delicate...but always feminine collections.
Now Bridget has moved to a purpose built studio to focus on handcrafted, bespoke and small-run collections. While her style evolves and remains instinctive; her quality and wearability remains unaltered.
