Ceremonies With Clare Full Description
As your Wedding celebrant, I work closely with you both in the months and weeks leading up to your big day to write, create and conduct your perfect ceremony that is unique to only you and your partner - no one has your love story! All my ceremonies are written from scratch and focus on you and your story. They tend to be relaxed, informal and full of love and laughter. As a celebrant, I can conduct your ceremony anywhere and at any time. You do not need a licensed venue and there are no time restrictions at all. We have lots of meetings (usually by FaceTime) before your ceremony and we talk about any changes or things you want to include up to the last minute. My prices include the writing of the whole ceremony and the vows which are unique to you and your partner and won’t be used again. I also include a wedding certificate for you and your witnesses to sign on the day as a keepsake of the occasion. As I say, my ceremonies are completely individual to your personalities and interests. It can be as traditional as you like and any readings or poems or songs you wish to include, will be written into the ceremony and I like to make it as fun and memorable as possible. Other elements can be added on such as traditions and rituals like handfasting or a unity candle ceremony - take a look at my website if you would like to know what they are - but they are entirely optional to you both.

FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

I had a couple who were really feeling the effects of Covid and were feeling so despondent that their wedding had been cancelled for the 3rd time. I arranged to meet them at their local valley park with their dogs and surprised them with a hand fasting ceremony. It was a rainy day and when I started, a rainbow came through the clouds and they said everything changed at that moment. I’ll never forget that day.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Warm Lighthearted Humourous Individual Sentimental

What about your business are you most proud of?

When couples say that it “feels like a friend” performing their ceremony 🥰

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don’t rush to hire a registrar - find out how a celebrant-led wedding works first - I’d hate for you to miss out!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I love speaking with couples face to face so the first thing I do is arrange a FaceTime call and have a first initial chat. That way, the couple can work out if they want to work with me and I can get an idea of the sort of ceremony they want before they tell me more explicitly. If they decide they want to go ahead, I take their details and send an invoice for a booking fee to hold their date for them and an outline of the structure of their ceremony. We then arrange to have another meeting when they have a chance to think about what they would like to include. Closer to the time, I send a questionnaire for them both to fill in so I can get a more in-depth idea of them as a couple as I begin to write their ceremony. Over time, we can talk as much as they want, if they need more information or have questions, I’m always available to put their minds at rest.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

I had a couple who wanted a Wedfest where we dress up in Steam Punk-esque style attire and theme!

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

Preparation is key and I make sure I stay in touch with my couples so I know about any changes or tweaks right up to the last minute. I also make sure I arrive at the venue with ample time to spare so I can be set up and ready to go and help with anything I can.

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

The story! Everyone has their own and no two are the same! Being a part of that moment, whether hilarious or tear-jerking, is such a privilege and the one I always take away with me.
