What is your most memorable wedding?
I had a couple who were really feeling the effects of Covid and were feeling so despondent that their wedding had been cancelled for the 3rd time. I arranged to meet them at their local valley park with their dogs and surprised them with a hand fasting ceremony.
It was a rainy day and when I started, a rainbow came through the clouds and they said everything changed at that moment. I’ll never forget that day.

What about your business are you most proud of?
When couples say that it “feels like a friend” performing their ceremony 🥰
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don’t rush to hire a registrar - find out how a celebrant-led wedding works first - I’d hate for you to miss out!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I love speaking with couples face to face so the first thing I do is arrange a FaceTime call and have a first initial chat. That way, the couple can work out if they want to work with me and I can get an idea of the sort of ceremony they want before they tell me more explicitly.
If they decide they want to go ahead, I take their details and send an invoice for a booking fee to hold their date for them and an outline of the structure of their ceremony. We then arrange to have another meeting when they have a chance to think about what they would like to include.
Closer to the time, I send a questionnaire for them both to fill in so I can get a more in-depth idea of them as a couple as I begin to write their ceremony.
Over time, we can talk as much as they want, if they need more information or have questions, I’m always available to put their minds at rest.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
I had a couple who wanted a Wedfest where we dress up in Steam Punk-esque style attire and theme!
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Preparation is key and I make sure I stay in touch with my couples so I know about any changes or tweaks right up to the last minute. I also make sure I arrive at the venue with ample time to spare so I can be set up and ready to go and help with anything I can.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
The story! Everyone has their own and no two are the same! Being a part of that moment, whether hilarious or tear-jerking, is such a privilege and the one I always take away with me.
