Brayden Wedd is a celebrant and MC based in North London, creating modern, story-led ceremonies across Greater London, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey and beyond. Yes, his surname really is Wedd.
After writing and delivering weddings in Australia, Brayden now brings that same relaxed, warm and personal approach to couples across the UK.
His thing is simple: a ceremony that feels like you, not like a formal script you’re forced to star in.
He writes everything from scratch. No templates. No filler. No generic lines unless you actually want them. The style is calm, warm, and well-paced, the kind of ceremony where people are genuinely engaged and the laughs land naturally. The goal is something personal, something real, and something that does not make anyone cringe.
You’ll probably get on with Brayden if you want:
What working together looks like:
Expect clear comms, no drama, and a ceremony that feels effortless on the day.
If you’re after a ceremony that’s genuine, well-written, and properly you two, Wed by Wedd is a great fit.
Brayden is an AOIC member (Association of Independent Celebrants).
Wed by Wedd is a wedding officiant company located in North London.
Hopefully, like one of the best parts of the day - not the bit everyone politely sits through before they’re allowed a drink.
The tone is warm, relaxed and personal, with humour where it naturally belongs. I’m not trying to turn your ceremony into a comedy routine, but I also don’t think weddings need to be stiff, solemn or full of weird formal language.
In England and Wales, most couples do the legal bit separately with a registrar, then have a celebrant-led ceremony that actually feels like them.
That means the paperwork is handled elsewhere, and your ceremony can be much more personal, flexible and relaxed.
I can talk you through how it usually works, but in the UK I work as an independent celebrant and MC, not as a registrar.
We’ll start with a quick chat to see if the vibe feels right.
From there, we’ll have a proper planning call, and I’ll send over some guided questions to help pull out the good stuff - how you met, what you’re like together, what your friends would say about you, the little stories that make the ceremony feel real.
Then I’ll write the ceremony, send you a draft, and we’ll tweak it until it feels right.
Yes. Vows can feel weirdly hard to write, because you’re trying to be sincere without sounding like you’ve swallowed a greetings card.
I can help with structure, editing, tone and confidence. Whether you’re starting from scratch or you’ve written something and just want a second pair of eyes on it.
The goal is vows that sound like you, not like wedding Pinterest.
Yes. I can also MC the reception if you want someone to keep things moving without making the night feel over produced.
That can include welcoming guests, introducing speeches, helping with key moments, keeping an eye on timings, and generally making sure everyone knows what’s happening.
I’m based in North London and work across Greater London, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey and beyond.
I’m also happy to travel for the right wedding, so if you’re planning something a bit further afield, just ask and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
Sometimes, yes.
If I’m available, I can move quickly and keep the process nice and simple. A shorter lead time doesn’t mean the ceremony has to feel rushed or generic. It just means we get to the good stuff faster.
The writing, mainly.
A lot of wedding ceremonies sound like they could be about anyone. I’m much more interested in the stuff that makes it unmistakably about you. The stories, the dynamic, the way you speak, the things your friends would recognise immediately.
Also, my surname is Wedd, so frankly it would be a waste not to do this.
