As a celebrant who loves a story and hates being bored, I will make sure your ceremony is to the point with a touch of humour and a sprinkling of emotion, while keeping it completely personalised.
Who am I? I am Theresa, a 40-something, trilingual mom of three with lots of random life experiences in my pocket. I love to laugh, hear your stories and if there is a coffee and a packet of crisps nearby, even better! And please, call me T!

The ceremony price includes:
- Travel to and from your venue
- Venue visits beforehand (if required)
- Help with your vows (including writing or editing them if required)
- Printing your vows (if required)
- Research to enhance your script
- Writing an entirely personalised script
- Two edits of your script (if required)
- Day before rehearsal
- Any symbolic elements you might want to include (a small extra charge only if a large purchase is required)
- As much contact as is needed up until your day (including extra visits just for coffee)
- Leading your ceremony on the day
- A script keepsake after your ceremony
[Please note:
- a 50% booking fee is required to secure your date
- travel more than 30miles from my location is charged at 50p/m
- travel & accommodation is extra if your venue is over 2hrs away]

Hi, I'm Theresa, but call me, T!
Looking for a Celebrant in Cumbria, the Scottish Borders, Dumfries & Galloway or perhaps further afield in the UK or Scotland, maybe even Portugal? I am the Celebrant for you!
Wanting a ceremony that's different to the norm, completely personalised & unique to you, there are no rules, which is what I love about being a Celebrant. I cannot wait to meet you, learn what you'd love in a ceremony & then help you create that!
I love meeting new people and hearing your stories. One of my top strengths is WOO - "Winning Others Over" - 'in my world there are no strangers, only friends I haven't met yet'!
A little about me; born in Southern Africa, half Portuguese, half Scottish, Mom to 3, Multi-lingual, people person who loves variety, fun & celebrating life stories through storytelling.
As a celebrant, I learn all about you, I write the script, and deliver the ceremony on the day. I help you with any extra additions you'd like for your ceremony, such a poems, readings, music, or rituals. I can also help with some on the day planning if needed (events background). I'm able to signpost you to other wedding suppliers if you're unsure or even another celebrant if we find we aren't a good match.

What is your most memorable wedding?
It is so difficult to choose only one! One in particular was the elopement of a couple, in Porto, Portugal. We found a quiet spot for the ceremony and local resident decided to join us from his 3rd floor window. We also all had shots of Port wine at the end to seal the deal. It was relaxed, fun and a joy on a perfect summer's day!

What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud of being a finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards this year alongside some truly wonderful fellow Celebrants! Next year for the win!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Choose what you really like and want for your wedding day. It is your day and it should be all about you!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Labelled seats for the bridesmaids, groomsmen and flowerchildren.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
You'll get in touch or book in a date to meet & chat (or Zoom & chat, depending on location & restrictions). Over coffee or drinks we'll discuss what you're looking for. Once you know for sure you'd like me to lead your ceremony, you make that booking & send your deposit. Your date is exclusive to you, I don't have more than one ceremony a day. I then start drafting a script - you can have a read beforehand or have enjoy a surprise on the day - it's up to you. A rehearsal for the day before, unless you don't want or need one. Then the big day where I arrive early, liaise with the other suppliers & then lead the ceremony!
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
This past year I was asked to do a protection circle, never done one of those before. It went well on the day after a little research.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Find a few options for suppliers - max 4 of each - too many and you will get decision fatigue. Then choose the ones you really and truly vibe with. There is absolutely nothing worse than selecting someone you do not get on with on your wedding day!
What do you love most about your job?
I absolutely love hearing all of your stories. How you met, got together, what you love about each other. Secondly, being able to make your ceremony something truly special, the start to your wedding day that helps set the tone for the rest of the day!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
My absolute (I seem to like this word, ha!) favourite moment at a wedding is when you walk down the aisle. Seeing the huge amount of emotions from both of you will never ever get old for me. Love, love, love it!
