The Wedding Guru Oskar is a multi-award-winning wedding planner who has been planning, running and delivering over 700 weddings since 2009, anywhere from the Isle of Skye in the north to London in the south of the UK. Oskar not only plans weddings, he’s also a legally-binding Humanist Celebrant and an Associate Business Coach with Kelly Mortimer - International Celebrity and Royal Event Planner! Since 2021, Oskar is also co-directing the Edinburgh Wedding Directory with his husband George. Most recently, Oskar is the Winner of Your Scottish Wedding Awards 2022 If you choose to work with Oskar and the team on your wedding plans or ceremony - you'll be glad to know that part of your fees will be donated to two of our chosen causes equally. This year we decided to support two organisations close to our hearts. Wedding Wish Makers helps terminally ill Brides and Grooms in Scotland make their wedding dreams come true & VOW for Girls - on the other hand, works to provide tuition fees for full-time education, boarding and transportation for girls at risk of child marriage around the world. Communication with him was always efficient, even with 7 hours of time difference he never stop responding to our queries, and his calmness help us feel that everything was always under control. He has a wide options of suppliers but also he will find anything in order to help and would never push decisions towards any in particular. Organizing a wedding from a different country was a true challenge but Oskar and his team made things run smoothly, they took care of every detail, organized the guests, and he was even the master of ceremonies! The best decision we made!
My wife and I were unsure about whether we should get a wedding planner, but hiring Oskar was easily the best decision we made. Even though we'd already booked almost all of our suppliers at the time, his help was invaluable, especially as we were planning a wedding hundreds of miles away. He knew all the right questions to ask when we met with our venue and catering teams, which he was more than happy to attend with us, and had ideas we'd never even thought about. The best decisoon we have made!
My wife and I were unsure about whether we should get a wedding planner, but hiring Oskar was easily the best decision we made. Even though we'd already booked almost all of our suppliers at the time, his help was invaluable, especially as we were planning a wedding hundreds of miles away. He knew all the right questions to ask when we met with our venue and catering teams, which he was more than happy to attend with us, and had ideas we'd never even thought about. We also had two suppliers cancel, including our transport just two weeks before, but Oskar was able to advise us and help us find a brilliant alternative. We'd have been lost without him (and had a long walk!) On the day, he never stopped and made sure everything ran on time and smoothly, and we cannot thank him enough.
