The Wedding Dolls Full Description
With over 12 years’ experience in the wedding and event industry, we are able to offer our clients a choice of services, depending on budget and requirements. Whether you are looking for full-on support, virtual assistance or someone to manage all of your plans on the day, we can help you. We offer full & partial wedding planning, pre-wedding advice sessions, wedding day management and virtual planning. The Wedding Dolls is a business with a big heart. We don’t do things by half. The Dolls have all been through a challenging but rewarding training programme so the level of service you will receive from each Doll is exactly the same. We are all naturally highly organised, have a calming presence, are able to interpret ideas and follow instructions. We are confident decision-makers, fun to be around, great at timekeeping, experts at reading situations and solving problems and we feel very fortunate that at each wedding we do an average 25,000 steps each, so the job we love also keeps us fit.

it was so useful to have some outside perspective
We decided upon a wedding at home because we wanted a celebration that felt really personal to us. A few months in to the planning, it dawned on us that without a wedding coordinator the majority of the logistical work on the day would fall to my parents. We solved this by booking a Dolly on the Day and then added on a Dolly Fix session. At the session Joanne helped us to think about things we wouldn’t have considered and gave us some guidance about what would work best for the space we had. I really can’t recommend this session enough; it was so useful to have some outside perspective and experience and it has set us on a good path for the rest of the planning. What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Before you begin looking for your venue and racing ahead to book suppliers take some time to discuss what you both really want for your wedding day. Do you both have a must have? are there things you really don't want? Don't rush into seeking inspiration from other weddings you have seen on Pinterest, spend time coming up with your own ideas for how can you create a wedding that is totally about you.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

We have had everything from an owl flying the rings down the aisle, a spitfire flying overhead and alpaca's walking guests to the marquee.

What do you love most about your job?

Even if you don't want a wedding planner, book a one off planning session before you get started to write a realistic budget breakdown. To many couples start planning and find that their ideas cost a lot more than they had budgeted for. Our Dolly Fix session is 3 hours of brainstorming ideas, budget reviewing and mood board making. You leave with a bespoke action plan and we give you all the advice we can.
