What is your most memorable wedding?
I was lucky enough to work at one of my favourite wedding venues Hedsor House last summer. A stunning couple flew over from Hong Kong with 100 of their closest friends and family. It was their dream to have a European wedding. I love learning about new wedding traditions, the Chinese Tea Ceremony was amazing, and the brides gown was spectacular. Head over to the gallery to see some of the beautiful images.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Imaginative, expressive, enthusiastic, dedicated and dynamic.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I truly believe when it comes to weddings, the personalities of each indiviudal is so important. Due to the trust that is given to the planner, the bride and groom must have complete faith and take comfort that I will create exactly what they vision, I love working with all types of people and my relationshops with my couples are something I take immense pride in.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Wedding planning is incredibly overwhelming. No matter how hard you try, you can't please everyone, remember this is YOUR day! Focus on what you want, each other and everything else will fit into place.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Bespoke wooden serving trays were created by the brides brother. The canapés and cheese platters were served on the trays which added something extra special.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
An initial phone / Skype consultation, discussing your requirements and getting to know you. If the bridal couple and myself feel that this is the right partnership, we then have a face-to-face meeting. If everyone is happy, I then follow the meeting with contract terms, highlighting all details and cost breakdowns. I also create a bespoke design board, showcasing all of the elements discussed during our meetings and discussions. Once the deposit is paid I then begin your wedding venue proposal and start supplier searching and planning. I am available for constant update meetings as well as emails for those who have busy lifestyles. I am there from start to finish!
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
I have been creating weddings and events for several years, I did have a request to organise a divorce party! Slightly contradicting my role as a wedding planner, but very creative and imaginative regardless. Celebrations can happen anywhere in all forms.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
There will always be an element of stress, I however handle all elements that are overwhelming. Creating proposals, shortlisting suppliers, breaking down information, arranging administration, liaising with your venue and organising logistics. Allowing you to enjoy the process and get involved in all the fun and creative elements.
What do you love most about your job?
This is your wedding day! Remember to spend time together during this process and HAVE FUN!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
Once my couples are married, I really enjoy when they get to have their 'couples' photos taken away from their guests. It is a lovely quiet moment as a newly married couple and it is so special to see their excitement.
