What is your most memorable wedding?
Most definitely the Jurassic Park themed wedding! There was "raptor"ous applause...
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
My working style is calm, focused, people-centred, fun and ambitious.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember that this is YOUR day: no, Nanny Pat might not like your menu choices, but do you? Yes, Aunty Gertrude might think your dress 'a bit out there' - but do you feel comfortable and confident in it? This is one of the few times in your lives that is all about you as a couple. Embrace it. Be thoughtful in your plans but be...you.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One couple knew that having a destination wedding was a little tricky for a few of their friends with small independent businesses in terms of being able to take the time off work. They made gift bags for every guest to take away, which is very lovely in itself, but they filled them with goodies from those small businesses of their friends to support them in taking the time to be with them at their wedding. I thought this was incredibly sweet and thoughtful.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
By taking care of it before it happens.
What do you love most about your job?
Don't risk your finances - absolutely have all the things you want, make your money work for you by getting some great deals - but ultimately, if you've been stretched too far financially there is going to be a lot of pressure for your day to be perfect and that doesn't allow much time for you to relax.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
Either before the ceremony when nerves are high - but then the couple lock eyes at either end of the aisle, and it's a really punch to the gut of raw emotion. Or after the ceremony, when the scary part is over and everyone has taken a sigh of relief and starts to enjoy the day a little more!
