Hi, I'm Maureen, and I've been conducting legal marriages or over 10 years. I conduct warm, fun, and relaxed ceremonies, and really pride myself in getting to know my couples. I always feel, by the time we get to your wedding day, that I'm marrying my friends. Looking for a relaxed, warm and fun marriage ceremony that’s solemn and sincere at all the appropriate points? Yes? Well I might just be a perfect match for you, as a couple!
Based in Central Scotland and a registered celebrant with Humanist Society Scotland, I am fully authorised to conduct legal weddings anywhere in Scotland, and from my central location, am happy to travel to be a part of your special day.
From our first meeting, be that in person or on Zoom, we’ll work together to create the perfect ceremony, one which truly reflects both of your personalities and all the things that are important to you.
I'm here to help advise and guide you every step of the way with the legal aspects of a wedding in Scotland, (things like submitting your M10 forms to the registration office closest to your venue).
I'm also here to help make sure things run smoothly on the day and ensure your ceremony leaves you wishing you could do the whole thing over again.

Incorporating items from a deceased relative within a ceremony to ensure they're still part of the couples special day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We'll meet up either in person or on Zoom, have a chat and I'll ask you loads to questions to get your mind thinking about your ceremony. I'll then send you off with some 'homework', and we'll keep in touch over the forthcoming months - I'm only ever a phone call or email away. I'll create your draft ceremony with your 'homework' feeding into this, and then we'll tweak it until it's perfect for you. Closer to your wedding date, we'll meet up again and chat everything through - who's doing what, where, when and why on the day, and that way you're far more relaxed in knowing what's happening on the day and there are no surprises.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
Announcing the couple are having a baby within the ceremony!

Planning, chatting things through, and taking things step by step.

Declaring a couple married ... it doesn't matter how many weddings I've conducted, nothing can beat that feeling and nothing can wipe the smile off my face at that moment!
