What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan the wedding you want to remember, not the wedding that's expected of you
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Let's meet! A ceremony is about you and the best way to make it memorable and personal is by having it led by someone who has taken the time to get to know you. Ideally this will be face to face, but different times call for different plans, so it may be over facetime, zoom, whatsapp...or whatever suits you at the time. Either way, we will talk a lot and hopefully laugh - no matter what the ceremony. Ceremonies are about celebrating and there is always a story, a moment or a lifetime to laugh about.
After a first meeting (and if you like me enough), I will get to know you further through emails, calls and messages and will spend considerable time working on a ceremony script, a plan, and even help with the vows if you would like me to. Of course you will see this in plenty of time to make suggestions and changes. Before the actual ceremony, we will have a rehearsal - possibly at the venue, but if that's not possible then we will meet and go through it elsewhere.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
It's hard to get me flustered! That doesn't mean I'm not filled with nervous excitement, but I do keep my cool. I am there for you before and during the ceremony with a listening ear, a calm demeanour and a few words of wisdom if need be. Combine that with well organised preparation, a practice run and a bag full of emergency supplies, and we will be looking at a stress-free wedding :)
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
My favourite moment? Wow, I have to pick just one! I guess it has to be that initial look when a couple are about to begin the ceremony. It's a wonderful combination of joy, anticipation, nerves and excitement. At that moment you know that there are great things to come!
