Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Professional, Friendly, Attentive, Organised & Discreet
What about your business are you most proud of?
The relationship I have with clients & colleagues within the industry
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
To ensure that you get everything (or at least 80% of what you want), make sure you start planning as far in advance as possible. The best & most popular venues/suppliers will usually be booked WAY in advance.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A Turkish Bride was marrying a British Groom - the table plan was not only in English but in Turkish. The Bride also had a lot of her traditions mixed into the wedding i.e. after the first dance there is a 'jug' filled with money and all single ladies at the wedding have to dance with it, once everyone has the 'jug' is smashed and it is a free for all for the money!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to sit down with my couple, getting to know them - likes and dislikes, asking them a range of questions to cover all aspects of their day, including wants, must-haves & the all important budget. From this we can establish which services are appropriate for their big day. I believe in doing what is best for my Bride & Groom, not just what helps me and my pocket!
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
To date everything has been pretty normal, nothing has been too untoward (yet!!)
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Planning, early delegation, be clear on budget and stick to it, be flexible (don't let little hiccups get to you), combine bookings (check whether a supplier offers more than one service), keep everything in one place (a wedding planning site or a folder etc).
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new couples and getting to know them; also the reward of having the Bride & Groom thank you for all your hard work in making their dream a reality.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
I can't pin point my absolute favourite part of a wedding; if I had to say then it would probably be the reception (the whole of it), seeing it unfold and all guests enjoying themselves.
