I was born and bred in Belfast and currently live just north of the city in Newtownabbey. I am mum to a mad tribe of three kids, and dog, and have been with my husband since 1999.When I'm not being the Queen of Hearts, you'll find me crafting, crocheting or knee deep in muck gardening! I love walking on the beach, swimming in the sea and a good glass of red wine! I also work as a mental health and well-being coach, supporting university students

Weddings are a time for celebration, a chance to get together with your favourite people to say we do. Whether your dream is of a traditional wedding, an unconventional wedding, or somewhere in between, then you have come to the right place! Together we will create the perfect celebration everyone will remember forever! It is wonderful that you are considering a humanist ceremony for your big day! They are so much more personal and flexible, allowing you to exclude things you do not like or want and include things you do such as readings and rituals that are important and meaningful to you. As a celebrant, it is my role to support and guide couples through every stage of the process such as the legal process, choosing readings, writing your own vows if you want to and developing rituals to help you create a truly personalised wedding ceremony you and your guests will talk about for years to come! Please get in touch to see if I am available on your date. I would love to chat with you about your plans and what I do as a Humanist Celebrant working with couples to create wonderful, personalised ceremonies.

Happy couple married in September
March 2023
Excellent!
Sarah made our ceremony everything we wanted it to be and more. She delivered our story in both a funny and loving way and everyone is still telling us about how much they enjoyed it! She went out of her way to get all our information and to make our ceremony completely about us and our story while also making it short and sweet (the way we wanted it). We couldnt have asked for anymore from her, she really did everything possible for us and we really appreciated everything.

What is your most memorable wedding?

I have several!! But one is particular was a couple who had a themed Alice in Wonderland wedding. They had a huge marquee in their garden decked out like a mad hatters tea party, complete with the Cheshire Cat! The actual ceremony was right by a beautiful waterfall and the bride arrived in a Motorbike sidecar driven by the Mad Hatter! It was a hoot!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Uplifting, celebratory, a bit of craic, light hearted, fun

What about your business are you most proud of?

The opportunity is gives me to meet and work with so many lovely couples. I love to see how everyone is so unique, from the script we develop to the flowers, dresses, decor and flowers. Oh and not forgetting the fabulous shoes!! I get to visit some wonderful venues all around Northern Ireland and I love any excuse to get on a nice frock and a bit of lippy for a wedding day!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Book early!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A flowergirl pulling her baby cousin flower girl down the aisle in a white wooden cart, with fluffy blankets and bows. THE CUTEST!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Initial no obligation video call to explain the process of booking, legal requirements and ceremony planning. Usually a meet up for coffee, script planning and getting a sense of what a couple want and developing a first draft script to be agreed in preparation for the big day. And of course, the day itself. Every couple is different and by that my process and approach is very flexible to meet the individual needs of the couple.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

A burning bowl fire and unity candle ceremony. It was class!

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

Spreadsheets!! And good planning!

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

Wow - too many to choose one! Honestly, there isn't a wedding I dont have a favourite moment from, they are all wonderful and memorable.
