Full Description
As a professional wedding planner, my aim is to bring your thoughts and ideas to life and design a wedding for you which encompasses both your personalities and vision. Making sure each element of your day is carefully thought through, planned to perfection and expertly executed. A wedding planner's role is to tie up the loose ends, cross the Ts, dot the Is, smooth out the creases and make your engagement experience as enjoyable, fun and seamless as it can be. The services offered include Full Wedding Planning, Partial Planning, Styling & Design and Planning Power hours covering marquee weddings, 3 day wedding weekends (a favourite of mine and always will be!) and small intimate weddings with your closest family and friends. Hardesty Event Design plans creative, seamlessly elegant and stylish weddings across the UK specialising in country estate 3 day wedding weekends. Whether you’re planning your everlasting memories in a quaint country house, a stylish city hotel or a beautiful marquee in your parent’s back garden, I will be there every step of the way. Every couple has a totally different vision for their day so I will work with you throughout your engagement to get to know you both, your dynamic as a duo and your vision for your wedding day. We can plan weddings of all cultures and faiths, creating a story and vision that says something about you as a couple. We believe working closely with our clients and offering a hands on approach is the very best way to achieve a couple’s wedding day vision, exceed expectations and save you time throughout the planning process.

Happy couple married in August

we felt totally relaxed and that was all thanks to
From our very first conversation with Emily, we felt totally at ease. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we felt constant support and encouragement throughout our wedding planning, she was keen to quickly reassure us anytime we had a worry or question. In the close lead up to the big day, we felt totally relaxed and that was all thanks to Emily and the clarity that she’d provided. When the wedding day came around, we didn’t have to stress over anything and we felt that we were in the safest hands possible. Our local suppliers even commented it was the most organised and smoothly run event they’d attended! We can’t thank you enough! Xx

FAQ

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

sophisticated, elegant, fun, modern and a twist of romance

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Enjoy the process. It will all come together in the end so enjoy the planning process, and try not to stress or compare your ideas with others. Your wedding is meant to be about the two of you, and what the two of you love and enjoy, rather than worrying about the most recent trend or craze.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Now this is tricky one - There’s been so many. However, I think a firm favourite has to be the time a bride snuck off for Dhol drum lessons every Sunday for 6 months, to surprise her groom on the night of the wedding! They had booked dhol drummers to announce the two of them into the room for the evening party - a nod to his Indian heritage, and once they were on the dance floor, she surprised him (and all the guests!) with a solo dhol drum performance!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Once a couple have enquired, I'll arrange a phone consultation or zoom call to discuss your plans further and get to know you both as a couple. I love hearing about your hopes, dreams and pitfalls in life - its so important to get to know you as a couple before going any further, after all, we'll be talking to eachother sometimes more than some best friends!

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

enjoy every moment - embrace the highs, embrace the lows, it only happens once so why not make the very best out of every situation?
