Top 10 Wedding Planners Tyne and Wear

As an independent celebrant working around the North East, I specialise in creating unique and memorable ceremonies for couples and families.

Gemma Jay - North East Celebrant

Having ventured South for a few years, I’m now back on the North East coast, and specifically North Shields, where I grew up. With its stunning coastline, community spirit and relaxed lifestyle, there’s genuinely nowhere I’d rather be.

Really and truly, writing and conducting wedding ceremonies, and getting to know wonderful couples along the way, is my dream job. You can find out more about me on my website...hopefully we'll chat soon!

Megan McKenna - The Northern Wedding Celebrant

Laura Jane Portmann

I am fifty something year old woman with three adult children. I lived in the Middle East for almost 20 years. While out there I was an airline steward, a kickboxing instructor and an after school activity coordinator. Since returning to the UK, I have completed a degree in Glass & Ceramics, built giant puppets and lead community workshops in printmaking, and puppetry. Becoming a celebrant is my next big adventure.
