“From the moment we met Debbie, she put us completely at ease… the ceremony was just lovely.” Weddings are emotional, exciting and sometimes a little bit what-on-earth-are-we-doing?!
Hi, I’m Debbie, a celebrant who believes your wedding ceremony should be something you enjoy, not something you survive before the photos, fizz and dancing. I’ve been happily married for over 30 years (so I know a bit about commitment, and choosing your battles) Whether you’re after romantic, relaxed, lightly funny or “please make everyone laugh but don’t embarrass us”, (or even we don’t care if you embarrass us) we’ll get the perfect balance.

Debbie Munro Celebrant Full Description

Why would you choose me?

Because the ceremony shouldn't be a formality. It should be the moment.

I get it. The excitement, the anxiety, the stress, the planning, the day-to-day rollercoaster of feeling high in the morning, then something happens at lunchtime that brings you down.

I am a super emotional person, but it means I 'get' all those feelings, and I am so much more than the person you chat with before your wedding who goes away and writes a service.

I want to help and support you. I am happy to meet you as many times as needed, and I am super flexible. So, if you decide you want something earlier in the planning, then change your mind at the last minute, that's fine. I get it.

But more importantly, why choose a celebrant?

Would you go for coffee with someone you don't know? Do you feel comfortable in a room full of people you know, talking to someone you don't?

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. You plan in huge detail: the colours, the timings, the table decs, the flowers, and on and on.

But surely one of the most important parts is actually the ceremony? Standing and saying words to each other that mean so much, as you are choosing to spend your lives together.

Your families and loved ones have been invited and want to share in this moment and be a part of it. They sit and listen... they care. You don’t want your guests just sitting through the service waiting to get to the prosecco.

So, a celebrant brings the words and heart to the ceremony. They learn about you, your lives so far, your aspirations. As they have met you, they may understand the smaller things, recognising a nervous laugh or an anxious scratch of the ear (just examples!), and they can work with that.

There are no quick turnarounds, no next ceremony an hour up the road. Celebrants dedicate your wedding day to your wedding.

So, if you need to tweak something, or just want the relief of knowing there is no time pressure or expectation of getting scripted words exactly right, that is enormous.

The ceremony shouldn't be a formality. It should be the moment. The place where you join your love forever.

It matters. It's precious. And celebrants make that happen.

It was warm, genuine, and felt completely ours.
We felt so looked after from start to finish. Debbie really listened to what mattered to us and wove it into the ceremony in such a beautiful way. It was warm, genuine, and felt completely ours.

The ceremony was everything we hoped for.
The ceremony was everything we hoped for personal, heartfelt, and just the right amount of cheeky. From start to finish, it felt fun, warm, and completely us.

She put us at ease with everything
From the moment we met Debbie, she put us at ease with everything, the views were perfect for both of us and the sand ceremony was just lovely. We couldn’t have wished for a better celebrant, you helped make our day perfect and that means the world to us.
