Colours and promises Full Description
Hellloooo there! I’m Laura and I’m a Humanist Celebrant based in Cheshire and I love to work with laid back and loved up couples who are looking for a wedding ceremony that is ALL about them and their love story. I absolutely adore learning all about the two of you, how you met, what you love about each other and what makes you want to bop each other over the head with frying pan. No two couples are the same and I believe that no two ceremonies should be the same. Your ceremony should reflect the two of you and your union. Whether that be an intimate elopement on the edge of a cliff, a fun festival wedding in a tipi or a romantic family wedding in your back garden, I will work with you to make sure it is everything you have dreamed of and more.

What is your most memorable wedding?

ALL my weddings are memorable. I’ve been lucky enough to deliver outdoor weddings, tipi weddings, garden weddings, Forrest weddings, hotel weddings… the list goes on. All were so unique and beautiful.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun, romantic, personal, memorable, unique

What about your business are you most proud of?

I have made some lovely friendships with my couples. I get to know all my gorgeous clients so well throughout the process that I feel like I am delivering the ceremony of my closest friends. It’s such an honour.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Remember that the day is all about you! Yes I know you want your guests to have fun but it’s the two of you who will remember all the details the most and will treasure them forever.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I love last kiss before the first kiss. I’d have to explain that when you enquire though 😉

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We chat either face to face or meet up in person and I buy you a brew. If you decide you want to book me, yay! If not, no hard feelings. Your celebrant is one of the most important suppliers for your big day so they have to be right for you. About 6 months before the big day I send a questionnaire to get to know you better. Then we meet and I run through all the intricate details of your day to make sure I am certain of how you want your ceremony to look. Then I start writing! You receive your first ceremony draft about 3 months before and I adapt and change this as much as you like until it’s perfect! Finally, I deliver your ceremony on the day. My favourite part 😊

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

I am there for my couples every step of the way. I am experienced in working with couples who don’t like being the centre of attention or who have family politics to take into account or who just need someone to use as a sound board. I’m here for you, every step of the way and I can offer advice and guidance when you need it.

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

When the couple first see each other. Magic!
