What is your most memorable wedding?
Beautiful bride, beautiful groom; as I started to guide them through their bespoke and unique vows a large butterfly fluttered onto the brides veil - the three of us knew nothing about it, neither did the photographer who was taking pics from behind us! Sadly my couple had requested no mobile phones and everyone saw it and was enchanted, but nobody got a shot of this magical moment!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Friendly, approachable, professional, funny, adaptable.
What about your business are you most proud of?
All of it! It is wonderful to have the opportunity to step into a couple's lives for a brief time and then engage all of their most special people in their love story!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't be rattled by the legalities of having to go to a Registry Office or choosing a Licenced Venue - just sort it out as simply as possible (the whole legal process can take as little as 10 minutes and you don't have to exchange rings) and then turn your attention to your chosen Celebrant who will craft some beautiful moments which will live in your hearts forever.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Dainty white parasols for guests in a wedding in a garden during a July heatwave.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Talk, talk, talk, listen, listen, listen! Easy! We meet and get to know each other; I find out your dreams for the day; together we craft something unique to you. What could be better?!
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
Nothing really, I am game for most things!
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Being there early and getting to chat to all of the players so that everyone knows what they are doing. Often this can be a rehearsal the night before, but that's not necessary really.
What do you love most about your job?
Watching the love on the faces of the couple and all of their special people as I guide them through their story - it is always a joy!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
A glass of fizz while the photographer is creating their own very special magic - usually I end up having a chat with everyone and having a laugh!
