Behind The Scenes Events can help with any aspect of planning or managing your day.    Undertaking the planning of a wedding is no easy task! Ensuring you and your guests have the perfect day takes time, attention to detail and exemplary organisational skills! We want to use our experience, professionalism and knowledge to assist you in arranging a spectacular event with memories that last forever. Behind The Scenes will do as little or as much as you like, from initial advice to running the event on the day. We understand how important your occasion is to you; we take the pressure off so you have a chance to enjoy the lead up to the event, not to mention the day itself! We are different from the perception people often have of wedding planners; we are here to chip in, provide a constant presence and do whatever it takes to give you your dream day!   Over the years we have helped many couples achieve their dream day and this was evidenced in 2015 and 2016 by us making it to the Regional Finals of the Wedding Industry Awards which is voted for by couples themselves and in 2017, 2018 & 2019 by winning Hampshire Wedding Planner of the Year. We were also proud to be nominated for a 2015 Venus Women in Business Award by a past Bride. We have been mentioned in local, national and international press with a number of our weddings being featured in reputable publications and on well known blogs.   Based near Fareham in Hampshire, we cover Southampton, Portsmouth, The New Forest, Winchester, Basingstoke, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Chichester and surrounding areas. It is not unknown for us to travel out of area to surrounding counties such as Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and Sussex.

I couldnt have done our day without Nicola ...
Nicola, her Mum and team were really excellent on our wedding day. They did so much to make our day go really smoothly including to help set up in the morning, making sure the caterers were ready, generally running around for us (bringing the thank you gifts, offering to bring water etc) and after the event packed everything up perfectly. I couldn't have done our day without Nicola and would recommend her to anyone who is doing a DIY wedding and needs some help on the day. Special shout out to her Mum who drew a bespoke ‘order of the day' backboard for us that fitted our day perfectly and at no extra cost! Thanks to all at Behind the Scenes x

We had various concerns about the running of our wedding in the lead up, with both of us being so busy, so contacted Nicola. We are immeasurably glad we did. Her work ethos and attention to detail is second to none..
I have worked with Nicola on two recent events in the last week. I also have worked with her on handful of other occasions. I am so impressed by her work ethos and her attention detail is second to none. From setting up tables and styling and making sure the little things are just perfect. From running mini jobs for guests as they have forgot something. To assisting on photoshoots. To ensuring food and service is run well and on time. To helping guests find there seats and ordering taxis for home time. The service Nicola provides is amazing and she is so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend her services to any Brides and Grooms who need that added sparkle to there day. There is so much more than just the wedding day Nicola helps with timings planning and sourcing suppliers which comes from years worth of experience so you are getting great value for money using Nicola as your planner for your event.

Nicola is super human! She did everything we wanted and more for our wedding it all looked truly amazing and just how we wanted it! I'm so glad Joanne Moger recommend her to me, she made the day go so smoothly! She has a very special talent! When I saw her when I arrived at our wedding feeling a little anxious, she gave me a great feeling of calmness. Book an on the day co-ordinator! We can help save money, are realistic about logistics but creative enough to pull off your vision!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Far too many to choose!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We undertake an initial consultation where we talk about plans and ideas, a mid point meeting to discuss progress and a final on the week meeting to iron out the details. On a full day booking we usually arrive at the venue between 8.00 - 9.00 and stay until the pack up is finished.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

A hobbit themed day!

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

By ensuring all plans are in place before the day itself with contingency if needed. Remaining calm on the day is crucial while supporting suppliers, friends and family and of course the couple themselves and ensuring nothing is too much trouble.

What do you love most about your job?

Being part of a unique day and sharing memories.

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

The smiles on the couples faces at the end of the night when the wedding has exceeded their expectations.
