Your wedding day is about more than beautiful photographs. It’s about the feeling, the people, the atmosphere and all those fleeting moments you’ll want to remember for years to come.
I’m Zara, a wedding photographer with over 15 years of experience, specialising in relaxed, documentary-led photography with an elegant, editorial finish. My approach is unobtrusive and natural, allowing your day to unfold as it should while I quietly capture the moments that make it uniquely yours.
From the nervous excitement of getting ready and the emotion of walking down the aisle, to champagne-fuelled celebrations and the wildness of the dance floor, I’m there to document it all. I’ll gently guide you when needed, particularly during portraits, but you’ll never spend your wedding day feeling like you’re constantly being posed.
Couples often tell me they felt as though they’d known me for years. I think that’s one of the greatest compliments I could receive. I want you to feel completely at ease with me, knowing I’m there not only to photograph your wedding, but to help make the day run smoothly too.
I’ll fix a buttonhole (or dress), calm a pre-ceremony wobble, help wherever I’m needed and probably shed a tear during your vows or speeches.
Because ultimately, I just adore love.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Photographing my first wedding at Tortworth Court which I had wanted to photograph a wedding at for many years. It is a breathtaking wedding venue!

What about your business are you most proud of?
My creativity and wanting to be unique. Once I know the plan for the day, I then start to plan where I can get the best, beautifully unique images.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Build breathing space into your timeline. A relaxed schedule means you can actually enjoy your wedding day — and it allows for natural, unhurried photos too.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The couple making the wedding decorations and making the wedding reflect them as a couple.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It all begins with a friendly chat to hear about your plans and make sure we’re the perfect fit. Once booked, I’ll support you with timeline guidance and tips to help your day run smoothly. On the wedding day, I take a relaxed, unobtrusive approach to capture natural moments as they unfold, with a little gentle guidance when needed. After the wedding, I carefully edit your images and deliver a beautiful gallery for you to relive every moment.
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A full group photo with all your guests. It’s often the only time everyone you love is in one place, and it becomes more precious as the years go by. And even better if it's from above to see everyones faces!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Bride in the bathtub in her wedding dress.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Don’t panic, some of the most beautiful weddings I’ve photographed have been in the rain. Focus on enjoying the day, and trust your suppliers to adapt and make the most of it.
Describe how you got into photography.
My photography journey began at car shows, where I loved capturing the details and personality of each vehicle. That passion for documenting moments and atmosphere naturally evolved into photographing people and celebrations — and I soon realised weddings combined everything I loved about storytelling through images.
