Describe your typical process with a couple.
After my couples initial enquiry I like to arrange a time to have a chat, either in person or over the phone if more convenient. Its a good way to get knowledge of my couples photography requirements. Then we arrange a suitable/personal place for the pre-wedding shoot, which is a great way for my couple to get used to being in front of the camera and see hwo I work. After delivering the images from the pre shoot my couple will pick their favourite shot to be blown up and mounted for their guests to sign on the day. 2 weeks prior to the wedding we finalise all the last minute details to make sure we all know whats happening on the big day. Its important to do this as I want my couple and their guests to relax and enjoy their wedding while I get on with taking the shots.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
There isnt 1 specific shot that a couple should take as every wedding is different, as long as a big group of everyone and lots of great bride and groom shots are taken.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I have lots of examples as every wedding I photograph I encourage my couples to add a personal touch and their own ideas, however on a pre shoot I climbed Snowdon to get the shot.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Being in the UK its wise to prepare for the worst weather. If its guarenteed rain then its a great way to embrase it an capture stunning shots using umbrellas and rain on windows. Most venues I have worked at have great indoor spaces.
