What is your most memorable wedding?
Tough choice...The one with a chinese dragon, Stormtrooper and Darth vader, Jonny Cash tribute, Male voice choir, A-team van and a tractor would be hard to beat
What about your business are you most proud of?
Being self taught.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember the day is about you guys and not trying to make sure the relative that you last saw at a previous wedding/christening/funeral 10 years ago is happy.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I'd have a chat with you either face to face or by Skpye/Facetime just to go over how I would work with you. Nearer the time we can either simply email or call just go over the final details and then I turn up and have a great time capturing your big day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The one photo that you didn't know was being taken. In that photo you will both be at your best.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Getting the whole wedding party to run away from a church from an imaginary dinosaur. Although has been done before this was a first for me and I've never seen a whole party run, usually it's only the bridal party/groomsmen
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Enjoy it, getting upset is not going to make it stop. I can assure you as a photographer we'll be more upset than you :)
Describe how you got into photography.
My mum was getting married and asked me to photograph the wedding. I didn't even own a camera! So I went off to quickly teach myself what to do (no lessons/courses just practise taking photos). I shot the wedding and the photos were good but in the industry they were very standard (sorry mum).
I felt as though I enjoyed the pressure so started to teach myself more and more. I eventually bought a better camera and my abilities improved so much more. After doing various photo portraits of people and pets I got asked to shoot a friends wedding.
From there I really got the bug and quickly developed a bit more interest from other people where I started to find my style.
Over the years I've refined my abilities and styles to create photos that clients love.
I'm not finished learning and changing the style...each new wedding I do slightly differently so that you don't have the same photos as someone else, each wedding is unique to you.
