My approach to wedding photography is informed by a firm belief in the power of visual narrative. There are many ways to photograph a wedding but it’s my experience that the most emotive and engaging is to blend authenticity with beauty; to present reality in its most elegant and flattering form.
Firstly, and most importantly, I don’t direct. Wherever possible, which is almost always, I take a completely hands-off approach. I’ll never pause proceedings or ask for a moment to be repeated. My aim instead is simply to observe. A wedding is one of the most sincere events we experience in a lifetime, rich with its own sub-plots, nuances and traditions. With such a wealth of genuine drama on hand it is both counter-productive and counter-intuitive to try to engineer something superior.
My coverage options are straightforward. The most common option, the Premier Package, includes all day photography, from bridal prep all the way through to the end of the night. Unlike many wedding photographers I don't finish immediately after the first dance, my coverage is through until midnight as standard, and can be extended to even later for an additional fee. This means that I'm around to photograph the entire story, from the getting ready in the morning through to the end-of-night send off.
I also believe deeply in fantastic customer service. I am with you all day, during one of the most momentous events of your life and that's a role I take incredibly seriously. From our initial consultation through until the delivery of your images I strive to maintain an impeccable standard. Your wedding photographs are one of the few elements from the day that truly 'live on' once the celebration is over and for that reason I think it's very important that the process is a pleasurable one.
