Tom George Photography Full Description
Tom George Photography is a wedding photography business based in London. I always choose to look on the bright side of life, see the positive in everything. That is how I shoot- by enjoying myself! I stay relaxed, talk to people, and soak up everything around me. Shooting this way allows me to capture the real joy of your big day. I blend in and capture real moments as they happen, with real emotion. Services offered Complete wedding day coverage. Half day coverage. All images hand edited, delivered in a private online album (designed to be shared). Handmade, highest quality printed album. To begin with (once booked) I will ask for a schedule of your big day. This lets me plan where I'm suppsed to be. The only other thing I will ask for is a list of Photographs you would like for the group shots, and somebody to help gather people (best man / maid of honour usualy). Experience has shown me it is best to be organised here, other wise the Bride and Groom will be standing around posing for hours! I get this part super organised so you can enjoy more of your day. Apart from the group shots you will hardly notice I'm there, unless you need me. I will be in all the right places and never in the way to allow your day to happen naturally. Its usualy a good idea for us (the bride, groom, and me) to sneak away from the party for 15 minutes so we can grab some shots of just you two. It gives you both a small break and I will have found some nice locations for portraits. When I shoot I am building a story of the day, for your album. A printed album makes all the difference and is a record that lasts forever. I use the highest quality album maker in Europe (probably the world!), included in the price, so in 10 years time you can look through and be transported right back to the happiest day of your life. Say hello. Ask me questions. I'd love to hear your plans, and always happy to provide ideas on how to make your day look its best.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your most memorable wedding?

Sunset at The Balcony in Zakynthos, Greece.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Vibrant, fun, natural, documentary, unobtrusive

What about your business are you most proud of?

My reviews

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Get a printed album. And make sure your wedding is shot to tell its story. It makes a huge difference.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

All food homegrown by the guests.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Chat, laugh, plan. An order of schedule is the most important thing for a photographer. Then I will scout out the venue and look at the light, angles, where to stand etc. It's great if you are they as well. Next we plan the group photos to save you time on the day. Finally we find a good spot for some nice couple portraits, usually taken towards the end of the day. These generally turn out to be my clients' favourite images

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Newlyweds, together, after the ceremony and dinner. Towards the end of the evening, before the real partying begins. The light is the best and their faces are full of joy and excitement (by this time the nerves will be gone!)

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I quote "We are going to take our clothes off and jump in the sea! Are you ready?"

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

More colourful decorations and outfits (if possible). Or a large indoor area to get group shots. Group shots are hardest if we cant go outside.

Describe how you got into photography.

I held my first camera when I was 6 and haven't put it down since! It's one my life's greatest pleasures.
