What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding I have shot is different and unique in its own little ways. My most memorable wedding would probably be at Newton park barn. It was a hot sunny day in July and the couple had a massive outdoor wedding - it started with pimms and bottled beers and some games, an amazing celebrant lead outdoor ceremony, then the unlimited expresso martini bar began along with unlimited all day rose... you can image how the rest of the day went...
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, Romantic, Natural, Candid, Fun
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud of how far I have come! To think I have got to where I am today still amazes me everyday and I am so grateful I took the leap to start my photography.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I once had a wedding where the couple hand wrote letters to every single guest (yes that included their cousins boyfriends they had met only once) It was such a special thoughtful touch!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I always advise my new couples to arrange an enquiry phone call to go through their wedding plans, after this when we have you all booked in of course we can have as many calls and messages in-between but you will be sent a questionnaire to fill out 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding day and then a final phone call meeting. After the wedding you will receive sneak peaks 48 hours and your gallery will be delivered in 4-6 weeks.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The traditional get in close, look at me and smile! Although I like to prompt my couples to get some real candid emotions and feelings in the photos, I will always get the traditional portrait with my couples as this usually is the photo your mum will want in her album and your grandma will want on her wall.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I cant say this was on the brides shot list haha, but I was in the brides room whilst she finished getting ready and she at this point had her dress on but needed a wee. I was (not literally) dragged to the bathroom with them to capture her getting on the toilet backwards to have a wee!!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas! Rain shouldn't have to always dampen your day. Of course we can get some great shots inside your venue but for the troopers who don't mind getting their feet wet, we can still get some shots outside.
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always been creative as a kid making montage videos etc when I would go on family holidays. I then took photography as an A-level and finished with an A* which made me carry on my photography journey.
