Full Description
I have always been in love with photography. There are lots of cliches that I could use but I genuinely feel so so privileged to be able to capture people's most precious moments on their most special day. I love everything from the little details, the bridal prep shots, the moment your loved ones first catch sight of you, all those most emotional moments to the group shots and the crazy dancing. In between all those special moments I lurk around quietly documenting your day - the hugs with your grannies and grandads, the kiss from your parents, the kids sneaking sweets off the sweet cart, your besties going mad on the dance floor. I love to capture it all !

What an amazing Photographer and an amazing lady
What an amazing photographer and an amazing lady. Tara captured the best moments from our wedding day from early morning until late at night. Colin & I can’t thank you enough for your kindness and professionalism. Thank you for being so calm and relaxed and giving us the best memories to look back on. All of our guests have commented on how hard you worked throughout the day, you just blended into the crowd and did your thing. Such beautiful photos of our special day. I would highly recommend Tara for wedding photography as she is just the best at what she does. Colin and I can’t wait to work with you again in the future and from the bottom of our hearts... Thank you!! xxx Kathryn Lindsay

Tara captured all the special moments
Tara captured all the special moments from our wedding day. The pictures were amazing and she worked tirelessly from early morning to night with a smile on her face the whole time. She even managed to get lots of brilliant pictures of our 3 and a half year old who isn't one for posing or staying still. All of the shots are so well done and lots of guests commented on what a fantastic job she was doing. Tara was professional at all times and worked so well with all the guests making everyone feel comfortable. She was also brilliant at getting everyone gathered or organised for group photos which isn't an easy task during a wedding. I highly recommend Tara for any event but especially a wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer, thank you for all your hard work and we wish you all the best for your future events.

What is your most memorable wedding?

My very first Wedding was a voluntary shoot for a man with terminal cancer. It took place in the hospital, but despite the horrendous situation and the bleak surroundings it was a beautiful and emotional ceremony. They were the most amazing family and there can be no greater honour than being able to capture some of the last ever photos for his family to look back on in the tough times ahead.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

I would describe myself as having a fun, informal, documentary style. I am good at staying calm and I am exceptionally dedicated to doing the best job that I can.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am so incredibly proud that I have been able to use my business both to provide for my family, and to give back to people in the most difficult of circumstances. I am without doubt the most proud of the photos and memories that I have been able to capture on a voluntary basis for the children of a terminally ill parent. To be able to give them memories to look back on is absolutely priceless.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Book me as your photographer! lol

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Oh my!!!!! One of my bride's had part of the lace from her mummy's wedding dress sewn into the inside of her dress beside her heart. Her mummy had passed away and she wanted to feel like she was with her on her special day.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

This is a difficult one to answer because I let the couple lead me with what they want to do and when they want to do it. I make sure we get some time away for individual shots, but I base this entirely on what the couple want. That is why it is always good to meet couples beforehand to discuss their individual thoughts on their big day.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

One of my favourite shots was when i just asked my couple to put their foreheads together, close their eyes, and just take a moment to breathe. It was so tender and so precious and I try to incorporate that into every wedding now. It nice to give them a moment to just be still and connect, amongst the madness of the rest of the day.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I was ecstatic when a couple asked me if i would take a photo of them from the roof of the Europa Hotel. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas! The photo i described above, where the couple touched foreheads and closed their eyes. This tender moment was captured in the pouring rain, under a lovely giant white umbrella. It rained on them for all but half an hour of their big day. we had already taken indoor group shots, but everyone was happy to nip out and get some more during that teeny tiny dry spell

Describe how you got into photography.

I have always loved to take photographs, but my obsession really started when my father passed away when i was in my 20's and I realised I had only one photo of the two of us on our own. It gives me such great pleasure to be able to capture special moments for other people and the ones they love
