I want my couples to look back on their wedding photographs and remember how they felt at the time, not what the photographer was telling them to do.
I’ll photograph your day uniquely. I won’t interrupt you, ask you to pose unnaturally or suggest that you do anything just for the sake of the camera. Your wedding day is likely to be the only time you’ll have all of your favourite people together in the same place, so I want you to be relaxed and enjoy your day partying with your family and friends – just as it should be. No fussing or dated clichés – just fun, spontaneous & genuine images.
I genuinely love what I do: photographing your wedding day in a natural, unposed way creating images with life and energy. I adore photographing people interacting, capturing real and unselfconscious moments as they happen.
I studied Graphic Design and Photography at Salford University in the mid 1990’s, before that I went to art school at Oldham College. I’ve been commissioned to work overseas, most recently in Hungary where I photographed members of the British Royal Family. I’ve also worked in Rwanda for UK based Children’s Charity, Chance for Childhood, for whom I’m also a donor and fundraiser.
I live in Failsworth, Manchester with my wife and twin boys. I’m lucky, I have a loving family and great friends, that’s all I need, I think everything else in this life is a bonus.
Away from photography I’m a pretty simple guy really – I enjoy sport, music, art, history and travel.
