Describe your typical process with a couple.
We usually meet up to see if they want to book us. Once they've booked us we then fill out the booking form. Two weeks before the wedding we will meet to do final prep so that we can produce a detailed plan of the day. One the day we go about the business of carrying out the plan but we remain flexible as things so often change on the day. A few weeks after the wedding we will invite the couple round to approve the lay out of their album. We do all the changes to the album while the couple is with us, so they can approve it comprehensively. We then send the album to get manufactured (usually takes about 3 weeks). We then give the couple their album and all their photographs (with granted copyright permission so they can print them off as they like)
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Posed romantic shots as it always shows the love between them.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The bride lying on the bonnet of the wedding car.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
In over 300 weddings. Ive still never done a wedding where the rain has not stopped at some point enabling me to get every one outside for group shots. The key is for me to keep an eye out constantly for a change of weather and then quickly and efficiently to get every one outside to shoot the photographs. If it did rain constantly its my job to find a great back drop in the wedding video.
Describe how you got into photography.
I completed a masters degree at Sunderland University in photography and video.
