What is your most memorable wedding?
One of my most memorable weddings had to be a full DIY wedding in the woods. The couple had created a gorgeous ceremony under a beautiful wooden arch. Check out my website to see some more photos!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Bright Vibrant Natural Fun Relaxed
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Do no worry about the rain! On my own wedding day it poured it down all day and we really didn't notice it at all! Now I have a huge amount of fun umbrellas to use with my couples on their wedding day. I even get them out when it isn't raining for fun photos!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One couple had a hand knot tying section in their ceremony. Each of their bridesmaids and groomsmen came and wrapped around some ribbon whilst the couple were holding hands. Then when they pulled on the ribbons it made a knot. So they literally tied the knot!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
So first would be our initial enquiry stage where we have a chat over email or the phone about what you are looking for.
Once you have decided I get you all booked in on your date and do the not so fun parts (but important for all) of signing contracts etc.
Then the fun parts! We plan in your engagement shoot in a location and time of your choosing.
Have the engagement shoot and then I do you an edit of those photos for you to enjoy.
Then its on to the wedding! We have some a pre wedding planning meeting where we discuss all the aspect of your day and meet at your venue.
Then the best bit! Your Wedding day - we have fun and create all your memories together and that evening I send you through some sneak peaks when I get home.
Next I get to your edit and about 2-4 weeks after your wedding I send you through your full wedding album.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A night time portrait. Get outside and get the lights out for fun under the stars.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Can we have a photo with the tractor? - It was on a farm and the farmers daughter was the bride.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Rainbow Umbrellas, well any sort of umbrella and a sense of fun. Don't worry about the rain it can make for some amazing photos.
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always taken photos throughout my life but never much of people. After my wedding I dusted off my own camera and started playing around with taking photos of family and friends and started to really enjoy capturing those memories together, before finally taking the big step of photographing a friends wedding - they were amazing and so wiling to let me have a go. Then I was hooked!
