Hello! My names Heather and I run Something Blue! I'm a weddings and events photographer based near Edinburgh but available to travel, near... far... WHEEERRRREEEEVER YOU ARE! Okay... but seriously! I'm a flexible gal and can travel wherever you've decided for your perfect day! So if you're getting married up a mountain, in the middle of a loch, in a grand castle or in your local pub you can rely on me to capture your day! I offer a candid, relaxed and unobtrusive style to catch your day's memories exactly how you experience it yourselves! I pride myself in the real memories while also capturing those stunning formal photos you need! I'm currently in the process of redesigning my brand, so if you don't see much on my instagram for now thats why! but rest assured i can send you whole portfolios if needed! What is your most memorable wedding?

A recent wedding in Cork, Ireland, couple had a wee elopement for themselves and were going to meet friends and family after as a surprise... we got married party! However the Groom sent the invites.... well.... a text, the morning of because he forgot to send the paper ones! Whoops!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Stick to your budget!!! There is no point starting off a marriage in debt! Stick to what you can afford and what is comfortable for you there is no need to break the bank your day will still be magical!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Favours of dog and cat treats for people to take home for their pets! Super cute!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Get in touch with me! We can have a wee chat, and meet in person if you like over a coffee and discuss what you'd like at your day! I then would after having a signed contract would leave you to it before touching base 3 months before the day then finally 1 month before to confirm timings! I'm always available to talk should you need to outwith these times though!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Foreheads touching and looking into eachothers eyes, youll find it so funny taking it but the results are stunning!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Embrace it! It's your day! Don't let a wee bit of rain stop you we can get some beautiful shots!
