What is your most memorable wedding?
Wow - that's a tough question! Every wedding is different - people, venue, weather - all can be good or bad! My first wedding will always be special as it totally made my head spin.. I've been fortunate to photograph many different types of weddings from Asian, outdoor forest weddings, big church weddings, small village hall weddings and even a wedding on a bus... I can honestly say that I have yet to shoot a wedding day I didn't enjoy - each one is unique.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Honest, True, Candid, Fun, Cliche Free!
What about your business are you most proud of?
The kind words received from my happy couples, genuinely takes my breath away when people take the time to leave reviews, send thank you cards and recommend me to their family and friends.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make sure you fully understand what you are paying for - don't get stung by people charging you extra for things that would normally be included! It's like buying a car and being charged extra for the windows! I do not limit the number of photos I supply from your day!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A flash mob of guests singing the couples favourite song - they had no idea!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
The first step - we always have a chin wag on the phone so we can get a vibe for each other and make sure that my style works for you. I'm always totally honest; and if my style doesn't fit with what you are after I will always let you know and give you some advice on other options.
If after the phone call you wanted to book me to cover your special day; I will send you a booking form, then complete a wedding contract and after a £200 deposit is paid - you are all booked up. Around 6 weeks before the wedding we meet up (typically at the venue) and discuss the final details, timings etc..
Around a week or at the latest two weeks after your wedding I will upload your photos to your secure online gallery - from here you can download, print or share.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Being a documentary photographer, I don't work to a shot list - but I have photos in my mind that I always look to capture.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Nothing! Rain is just a bit of water - get a brolly and have some fun!
Describe how you got into photography.
I got into photography when my wife got a DSLR for her make-up blog and I was forever using her Canon 600d; so I was told to buy my own...
