Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to meet couples before you book, looking through sample albums and discussing your day ensures that I am the right photographer for you and you get to see plenty of my work. After booking, I always arrange to meet up with you in the week before the wedding, this is a time to go through the final timings of the day and any group shots you require. On the day, aside from the formal couple and group shots I work in an unobtrusive way to capture your day as it unfolds. Around 5 weeks after the big day your photographs will be online in your own password protected gallery to view, with a proof book and USB available a few days later. The proof book and USB are boxed together and are included with every package. Album options are available and it will be up to you to choose your favourites! Albums are individually designed and proofed to you before printing so you're in control of the design process.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
In the 11 years that I have been photographing weddings, I have never seen the weather spoil a wedding day. Embrace the day whatever the weather! I always have a few umbrellas and have encountered some really brave brides who are happy to get outside regardless, its personal preference as to whether you want to get wet but it can make for some fab photos.
Describe how you got into photography.
I was introduced to photography properly when I was 14, I shot my first roll of film, developed it and then spent time in the darkroom printing the pictures, I was fascinated! I still am, whether it's digital or film, I love the whole process of seeing photographs from the viewfinder to print. Film was my first love and even now I occasionally carry my film camera with me.
