I am very privileged to be able to take photographs of your wedding, your children, your loved ones, making beautiful images and preserving your memories for generations to come. I feel that I have the experience, passion and commitment to make your wedding day images a beautiful family heirloom." My style uses a mix of natural light, photojournalism techniques and an element of fashion photography. I have 25 years of photographic experience. Im art school trained, I have a BA Degree in Photographic Studies from Edinburgh, I have a Masters Degree in Multimedia Design and Production from Liverpool John Moores, I have worked for The Ford Model Agency New York in the field of fashion and beauty during the era of the “Super Models late 1980’s”. I have also worked in the field of Editorial and documentary for The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Manchester Halle, Opera North and The Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Combined I feel that this is the perfect skill set for creating beautiful wedding photography as its a documentation of your day with a fashion edge.

Highly recommended

Sam & Neil were amazing at our wedding on Saturday 13th April. From the first appointment they made us feel at ease and we have really enjoyed working with them. We have not yet seen the wedding photos but if the photos from the pre-wedding shoot are anything to go by, they will be stunning. Sam & Neil work so well together and are so relaxed that you can't help but be relaxed even if you hate having your photo taken, like us. We looked at cheaper and more expensive photographers but Sam & Neil definitely were worth every penny.

We cannot recommend Sam highly enough. During our pre-wedding shoot and big day she put us at ease and was professional throughout. Due to circumstances we had to make changes and nothing was too much trouble. She was always available for any questions or queries that we had. Sam and husband Neil arrived at the venue they captured the mood of the whole day magically and we are delighted with our photos. They are such a lovely couple and it was a pleasure to have them at our day. The only problem that we are left with now is selecting our photos for the album as they are all amazing, We want them all. What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Get good suppliers on board so you don't have to worry about a thing and can just enjoy your day to the full as it goes so quickly.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Brides that have dressed the venue themselves with flowers and homemade decorations. Nana making cakes, Brides wearing their mothers wedding dress or an adaptation of it.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

You will be very welcome to come over for tea and cake, browse through some of my sample albums and tell me all about your wedding. I will go through the shooting process for the day and talk you through the shots, find out what you like and dislike about photography and go from there.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The first Kiss, because Im an old romantic at heart!!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Pillow fight with feathers everywhere! at The Titanic Hotel Liverpool

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Dont panic we can still get beautiful picture on a rainy day, we have lights that we bring to create lots of beautiful images.

Describe how you got into photography.

I started to take pictures when I was 14 a long time ago!!! I was travelling in Sri lanka with my family and I couldn't speak any other language other than English so it was a great way to communicate and record what I was seeing.
