I'm Rachael and I'm a Wedding photographer based in East Kilbride, Glasgow. My job is to capture the love you have for your partner, family and friends!
Every couple is different which makes my job so exciting, there are endless possibilities and my style of photography; documentary and candid, allows me to capture every aspect of your day in a very natural way.

My photography style is very candid and natural. I tend to just capture things as they happen and keep to the background which creates a more documentary style of wedding photography.

What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding was with the wonderful Andrew and Claire in Tuscany, Italy. It was an absolutely beautiful weekend set on a vineyard with three days of planned activities as well as the wedding ceremony which was at the top of the vineyard overlooking the surrounding hills.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The confetti shot as you are walking back up the isle together as a married couple. This shot is a lot of fun and allows your guests to be involved too!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I recommend that you take it in your stride and try not let it damper your day. We can still get some amazing photographs even if that means taking one of my wedding umbrellas out into the rain for a shoot.
Describe how you got into photography.
I loved art at school and for one of my projects I was tasked with taking images of a dress that I had designed and made. I realised at that moment that fashion wasn't the thing I was most passionate about because I was more excited about taking the photos and directing the model than the finished garment.
It did take me a couple years to get back into photography after I went to University to study a business degree and later quit my graphic design job to study photography full time. It's what I am passionate about and being able to share that with couples is a dream.
