Full Description
I want to introduce myself and tell you a little about me and the philosophy behind Priority Photography. My name is Mark and I love taking photographs, but more than anything I like to make people happy and give them images that will help them remember special moments, special people or a special place whenever they look at them. At Priority Photography I make it as fun and relaxed as possible. That way you'll get photos where you look relaxed and happy, not as if you've been forced to smile for 3 hours. You will always be my Priority when you ask me to do a job for you no matter how small. I want you to be so happy with the photos, experience and price that you are happy to recommend me to all you friends and family. I'd love to hear from you so if you like what you've seen here, on my website, Facebook or Instagram don't hesitate to call or message me.

What is your most memorable wedding?

All my weddings have been memorable for different reasons, but my first is my most memorable. Not only was I nervous, but the weather changed every 5 minutes and included rain, hail, high winds and thankfully a little sun just in time to allow us to get some fab shots with lots of fun and drama.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Candid, relaxed, fun, dramatic, traditional

What about your business are you most proud of?

My attention to detail and always putting the client first.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't panic and never spend more than you can afford.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

The happy couple taking time to get individual photos with any of their guests that requested a picture.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I like to meet with the couple over a coffee to determine exactly what they are looking for rom their photographer. After this I'll discuss package options and if booked I always request that the couple send me examples of images they've seen that they like so we can do something similar, but suited to them as a couple and the location. I always contact the couple about a month before and arrange another meeting to confirm details and where possible will attend the wedding and reception venue the day before to get detail photos and have a final chat before the big day.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The classic shot with both sets of parents. This is the one that will give most people a sense of the happiness at the joining of 2 families, can be showed to children in the future and will be a memory of the day for many years to come.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I was asked to take 1 photo of the entire bridal party at the edge of a cliff in a wind that must have been close to gail force as it was a family tradition. I wasn't totally sure it was a good idea at the time, but I did get one of my favourite wedding shots on the way back to the cars from the cliff edge:)

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrella's, as colourful as possible and a well organised bridal party so the couple can still get all the shots they want outside. It's also important to be flexible and I will always try to find a way to get all the shots the couple have requested.

Describe how you got into photography.

I have always loved looking at photographs and when I got the chance to try taking photos myself I started by taking landscapes as a way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I soon found that I enjoyed taking pictures of people more and capturing those fun, unexpected and tender moments at a wedding and then seeing the couple faces when they see the pictures and remember their day is the best feeling any job could ever leave you with.
