Hi, I'm Caitlin, the photographer behind Picture This by Caitlin. I'm a Scotland-based wedding photographer specialising in relaxed, natural, documentary-style photography for couples who want to enjoy their wedding day without spending hours posing for photos.
Your wedding is about celebrating with the people you love most, and my job is to capture those real moments as they unfold. From the nervous excitement while you're getting ready to the happy tears during your ceremony, the laughter during speeches, and the dance floor celebrations, I focus on telling the story of your day in an authentic and timeless way.
While I mainly work in the background, I'll also provide gentle direction during your couple portraits so you never feel awkward or unsure. My approach is relaxed, fun and unobtrusive, helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera while creating beautiful photographs that genuinely reflect who you are.
From our first conversation through to the delivery of your final gallery, I'm here to make the experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. I'll help with timeline planning, answer any questions you have, and ensure your photography fits seamlessly into your day. You'll receive beautifully edited high-resolution images in an online gallery, along with sneak peeks shortly after your wedding so you can start reliving the memories straight away.

How long do you need for portrait's after the ceremony?
I do recommend at least 45-60 minutes of allocated time to get portraits with all your family, friends and guests then I like to take just the two of you away for your own portraits before heading back to mingle - sometimes it is the only time of day you will be alone with your significant other!
What if it rains?
Well in Scotland, we are no stranger to the rain. I use natural light where I can but in low light conditions I may use a flash with a diffuser so the lighting is very soft so it is more flattering. I will scout out the venue either before the day or while you are chatting away to your guests so I can find the perfect spots for your photographs.
When can I expect my photographs?
For all wedding galleries, these can take 8-12 weeks to deliver as it depends on the time of year (e.g if during wedding season) However I aim to deliver sneak peek images 24-48 hours after the day so you have some to share on social media or feature on thank you cards for your guests.
If you have a personalised USB stick included in your packaged, you can expect this to be delivered to your home address one week after your gallery has been delivered.
Do you require a holding fee to book?
I do require a holding fee on the day of booking to secure your wedding date. It is a £150 deposit to secure your date. After I have received the deposit and a signed contract, I will confirm the booking from there and the remaining balance isn't due until 2 weeks before the wedding date.
