Describe your typical process with a couple.
We work with the couple through the process from booking to photo delivery and beyond. Many of our couples come back to us for their maternity and baby shoots.
From booking we are always available to help with advice on photos and timing. Around 3 months before the wedding we send a photography shot list that includes most of the popular and traditional pictures. We leave this with them and then normally meet with the couple 6-8 weeks before the ceremony to go through the shot list and create their Wedding Photo agenda for the day. At this time we can talk through what pictures they want and prepare any props or equipment that we may need to achieve these photos. We also discuss a back up plan and agree this, just incase the great British weather decides not to play fair.
A call to the coupe 10-14 days before the wedding to confirm times and then a message on the day to let them know we are on our way, this saves any unnecessary worry.
On the day we arrive nice and early, take a few background shots then wait for the signal that the couple os ready to start. We stay close but discrete, always on hand to help tie the odd cravat, we've even been known to steam the odd bridesmaid dress. Then when necessary we step in and direct our couple and their guests in a jovial way to get the pictures they want. This is normally during the formal sections of the day such as signing the register, group portraits and cutting the cake.
After the wedding we edit the pictures as requested and provide an online gallery for proofing. The couple have the option to share this with their family and friends. Once chosen we take the selected pictures and make their photo book or album, delivering it in person where possible along with the boxed USB containing all their pictures.
Every couple has a backup copy of their pictures which we store on our cloud service, just in case something happens to theirs so we can provide copies.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Always have a back up plan and watch the weather forecast. It might be raining when you say the 'I do's' however there could be a break later in the day.
Describe how you got into photography.
As a child my Aunt would show me slideshows of her holiday pictures. This interest quickly developed when I was given my first camera as a teenager and would work as a paper boy to earn money to develop my photos. Always searching for ways to improve I developed my skill over the years.
