I am Charles, a photographer based in Hertford who specialises in weddings, events, nightlife and anything with real people and real moments. I focus on capturing natural reactions, genuine emotion and the atmosphere of the day without interrupting it. My approach is relaxed but organised. I blend in, work quietly, and pay attention to everything happening around me so you get honest, natural images without feeling like you are being posed every five minutes.
I started photography because I enjoy being around people and seeing moments unfold. There is something satisfying about watching a day from start to finish and knowing I have documented it properly. Whether it is a wedding, a club night, a family event or a show, I enjoy the challenge of working with different environments and finding the best way to tell the story.
Away from work, life is simple. I have two dogs, Jack and Ted, who take up most of my mornings. I usually start the day with an oat milk latte, test new kit or tune settings for my next job. My music taste is all over the place and depends entirely on the mood. I like going out, but I am not much of a drinker. I enjoy meeting new people, exploring new venues and working in places where something is always happening.
I want the experience of being photographed to feel comfortable and easy. I know how strange it can feel to stand in front of a camera, so I give just enough direction to help you look natural without feeling staged. My aim is simple. Make the process stress free and deliver photos that feel real, polished and true to the moment.

How far in advance should we book you?
Ideally as soon as your date is confirmed. Popular wedding dates can book up 12 to 24 months ahead, especially Saturdays and summer dates during busy season.
How much do you charge?
My pricing is based on the hours I am on-site, with editing included. This keeps it simple and flexible, rather than forcing you into fixed packages.
Do you travel for weddings
Yes. I am based in Hertford, Hertfordshire, but I cover weddings and events across the UK and can travel further if needed.
Do you edit all the photos?
Yes. Every delivered image is professionally edited for colour, exposure, consistency and style. I do not send unedited galleries
5. How many photos will we receive?
This depends on the length of coverage, the schedule and how much is happening on the day. I focus on quality rather than padding the gallery with repeated images.
6. How long does it take to receive our photos?
I aim to deliver galleries as quickly as possible while keeping the editing standard high. Sneak peeks may be sent sooner where possible, with the full gallery following after editing.
Do you offer sneak peeks?
Yes, when possible. I know how exciting it is to see the first few photos, so I try to send a small preview before the full gallery is ready
Do you take formal group photos?
Yes. I can capture family and group photos, but I recommend keeping the list sensible so it does not take over the day. Natural moments are often where the best memories happen.
What happens if your camera fails?
I work with professional camera equipment and carry 2 cameras for this reason. I also shoot with dual-card cameras, giving an instant backup while I work.
How do we receive our photos?
Your finished photos are delivered through a private online gallery. You can view, download and share the images easily, and prints can also be ordered through the gallery if available.
