What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When it comes to the day, just enjoy yourself! No matter what happens, it’s your wedding day and that is the most important thing. Sometimes things don’t go to plan, but roll with it. You are the couple, you bring the vibe!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I’m a sucker for old photographs, so I love seeing family photographs around as decor and of the couple when they were younger!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Typically I reply to an enquiry within 24 hours! After that, I offer a phone call or zoom call, but this isn’t compulsory as I know this can feel awkward for some folks! After that if the couple choose to book me, the contract and invoice is sent. I’m always available for any wedding or non wedding related enquiries! My process is very relaxed and not too formal, that’s just not me! With some of my packages, pre wedding shoots are included. So sometime before the wedding day we’ll meet for some photos and a chat, which is a lovely way to get to know one another before the big day. I really do like to get to know my couples before their wedding day!
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
One where you’re both looking down the lens! I’m in love with all natural and candid photos they are my favourites, however I think it’s super important to have at least one where you can see both your faces looking happy down the lens!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
It’s not one I’ve been asked to take specifically, however during a father of the bride speech once, the FOTB had a cucumber and knife (representing exactly what you’re thinking it does) and I got a great shot of it being sliced in half mid air! That was a pretty original shot!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
To not worry about the rain, embrace it, got running through a field in the rain. It makes for some epic photos!
Describe how you got into photography.
This is a random one! My husband and I used to model for wedding styled shoots. During that experience I realised how much I loved everything about weddings and wanted to step behind the lens! So I did!
