What is your most memorable wedding?
I flew to Florence to photograph a 3 day wedding and it was the most beautifully fascinating experience.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, friendly, informal, creative, honest.
What about your business are you most proud of?
My referrals are high and my business relies heavily on these. I think it must be a reflection of the way I work.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Connecting your suppliers no matter what they are helping with. It will make the often tricky decision process far more enjoyable.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The bride and groom mingling with guests making sure they talk to everyone.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It is important to meet straight away so I either welcome people to my studio in London or I will happily travel to them with books and albums. I then leave them to make their decision for a few days and once that decision has been made meet them again at their venue to discuss where things are happening. I don't like to over plan because I think you can miss the magic of spontaneity on the day by doing this but having a look at favourite spots and a rain plan always helps!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A naturally caught shot of the marriage ceremony. It is priceless.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The bridal party jumping in the air in-front of an altar in Florence!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Wellies, they look great with a wedding dress!
Describe how you got into photography.
My father gave me an Olympus OM1 - my first film camera - when I was 16 and I haven't looked back since.
