I believe a wedding photographer needs to have a wide range of skills in photography to be able to capture the moments as they unfold. The emotion of the ceremony, the detail in the table settings, the madness on the dance floor and the landscapes of the venue and surroundings. I consider myself to be a hard working documentary photographer with an outgoing personality. During the ceremony, I’m discreet and stealthy with my shutter set to silent. For the rest of the day I blend in, taking shots of you and your guests as you relax rather than constantly directing scenes that can end up looking contrived. I’m more than happy to take group shots if I’m required to. It’s sometimes nice to have at least a few to see the whole family together. I also like to shoot some portraits of the bride and groom away from the crowd. This normally takes 10 – 20 minutes so that you don’t have to be away from your guests for a long time. My editing style is natural. Applying the latest trend in filters to your shots might be relevant now but I believe that shots are timeless when they are edited as close to life as possible.
