We couldn't of dreamed for a better photographer
We couldn't of dreamed for a better photographer to capture our special day, Nardia made us feel completely as ease & we were extremely happy with our photos. I also recommend having a boudoir shoot, Nardia was very professional and made me feel totally comfortable, we even enjoyed a few laughs along the way :)

What is your most memorable wedding?

All of my weddings have been memorable in different ways. What strikes me the most is the weddings where each couple REALLY makes their wedding their own.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Authentic, Elegant, Fun, Traditional but Modern.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I pride myself on giving my clients the best experience - if they have had fun and love the end result, I know I have done my job right. One of my best compliments was a bride thanking me for how relaxed I was through the whole day which stopped her from getting stressed out.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Be yourselves, don't rush the day and don't let others take over your day.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I have been fortunate to have the most awesome and diverse clients, there are too many to list!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

The wedding experience starts with a meeting, you get to know me and how I work with you on your day and I get to know who you are as a couple over a drink or two! After you are welcome to contact me any time if you have any burning questions, then leading up to the big day we are generally in contact several times where I send out a questionnaire and timeline so I know exactly how your day is going to run (if you are free-spirited and have no times to your day I run with that too!). During the day I keep things light, relaxed, fun and professional so no one feels stressed out. After your big day I send out some sneak peeks, a blog post and then your whole gallery! Most of my clients then want to order an album after seeing their images.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I have a top 3 must have shot list: 1. Family! I hear so many photographers complain about the family photos, but my take is that you don't know how much you will treasure those photos if someone passes away. It could be your last with them, savour the moment. 2. An epic shot - every single wedding I am on the constant lookout for that epic shot of the couple, either epic lighting, an epic location - or both! 3. Traditional Photo - this is both of you standing and looking at the camera, I like to call it the grandma shot. So many people get so caught up with the candid, natural and photojournalistic style that they forget to take at least one nice photo smiling at the camera. I make it my mission to have 1 of these for each couple and have been thanked on many occasions as they normally have these printed and sent to family members.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I have been asked several times to photograph in locations that have a special meaning to them - including a wedding ceremony outside the brides grandmas old house.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas! My gosh, the amount of times I have had brides come to me frazzled because they didn't think of a wet weather option. When in doubt have some white or clear umbrellas. The photos you can get in the rain are so stunning, dramatic and emotive, never let rain put you off. If you are fortunate enough to have a wedding indoors this is the best option in the first instance. But I have photographed a rainy wedding on a beach in the past.

Describe how you got into photography.

I always had an interest in photography right from when I was young. When I was at high school I couldn't get into the photography class, so when I had my son in my mid 20's I decided that it was time to dive in. I obtained 2 photography diplomas, a couple years later I fell in love photographing couples big day after being asked last minute to photograph a family members wedding! I realised I had a real love and passion for capturing weddings and have not looked back.
