I arrive at your wedding nice and early, to avoid making you stressed on your special day. This allows me to take my time photographing the details on your wedding day without feeling rushed and also allows me to grab a coffee...I love coffee :-) After your first dance is usually when your photographer packs up and says "goodbye". Not me, when you invest in Paul Flannigan Photography, I'm there to help you throughout your day and capture those special moments of your friends and family enjoying themselves on the dance floor, but this also gives me the opportunity to capture some lovely evening portraits - no matter what the weather!

What is your most memorable wedding?

There has been a lot! And all for good reason. I photographed a wedding in Italy in 2018 which was a wonderful experience. Weddings since Covid-19 have been truly memorable. Great photographing people seeing each other for the first time since the pandemic began

What about your business are you most proud of?

Winning North of England Wedding Photographer of the year was a fantastic achievement, but growing my business to the point of being able to leave my retail job to pursue a career in something I love is something I never take for granted

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Have speeches before your food. Perfectly dressed tables, plenty of smiles make for great photos. Also allows speakers to fully enjoy their wonderful food

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The couple being themselves in front of the camera is priority. I want lovely, natural smiles within my shots

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Recreating the end scene from the movie Dirty Dancing. Yep! THAT lift!
