HI! I'M OLLY, I live in Canterbury with my wife Kirsty (who I met at university here) and we’ve got two kids who are growing up way too fast- Caleb (10) and Rose (7). They are the three people I love most in life and the three people I photograph most in life (…sorry Kirsty!) When I’m not making music, drinking coffee or going out on a run I work as a documentary wedding photographer across Kent, the UK and overseas. I say “work” but it never feels like work as photography and people are huge passions of mine. I started out in 2011 by offering to photograph a friend’s wedding, I loved doing it so much that since then I’ve been involved in more than 300 amazing weddings.

Right from our first contact with Olly, we loved his approach (and we’re not just talking about the photos!); his fun and friendliness shone through in absolutely everything. Even though we were getting married at relatively short notice, he was up for the challenge! We really appreciated chatting over zoom when we booked as he helped us understand how to make the most of his skills and he was so interested in getting to know us and finding out what we envisaged for our wedding day.

Olly was recommended to us by our wedding venue, and it was so clear why. In the lead up to the day, Olly was so great in responding & really organized. As Olly had shot at the venue before, he was great at recommending locations for us and it made the whole day go by so smoothly. We just finished going through the pictures, and wow - they are stunning, and we love them so much! We had a lot of things going on & there was so much colour, and Olly captured it perfectly.

I knew who I wanted to take the photos.

You might want to make yourself a cup of tea (or coffee, if that’s your thing) because this is going to take a while. Having met Olly some years back at my best friend’s wedding (while I was brushing my teeth, might I add), I was already very comfortable around him and had seen how his warm, friendly approach had you feeling like you’d known him forever (even though it had only been a few minutes). I actually told my mum that if I ever got married, I knew who I wanted to take the photos.

Olly is the one detail I wouldn’t change!

I don’t think I can quite put it into words. Olly’s photos were honestly like reliving the whole day again which is exactly what we imagined 🥹 I loved our wedding, but getting married was the only thing that was important to us so I wouldn’t have cared if any of it was different… apart from Olly! Wherever we had wed, however we had wed, Olly is the one detail I wouldn’t change! Thank you so much 🥰

Olly was absolutely fantastic.

Right from my initial enquiry, Olly was absolutely fantastic. He was always fast to respond to any questions I had, and his passion for photography reflects so clearly in his beautiful work, so I had no hesitations in choosing him to photograph our wedding. Unfortunately, I had to cancel it 3 months before, and the compassion and kindness Olly showed me during this time was so unexpected after all the negative experiences I had with other wedding suppliers. I would not hesitate to use Olly again
