What about your business are you most proud of?
Being awarded UK Young Freelancer of the Year 2017 after 2 years of running my business part-time. I'm now a full-time with my business having made the plunge 2 months after winning the award. It's amazing to dedicate my full passion and time to what I love doing, documenting weddings!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Getting to know your photographer as much as you can as it's really a collaborative process in getting the best photos from your day. It really makes a difference if you fully trust your photographer and believe they'll produce amazing photos from your wedding to last a lifetime.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
First - send an enquiry to see if I'm available on your date
Second - email exchange about your wedding details e.g venue, plans for the day, packages
Third - consultation in person to get to know each other and view recent wedding examples in print
Fourth - if you would like to book me for your wedding, a contract & deposit will be needed to secure your date
Fifth - we will either arrange/shoot your Engagement Session (if you have booked one)
Sixth - a month before your wedding date, final balance is due
Seventh - it would be good to arrange a meet up at your wedding venue close to your wedding date to go over your timeline and plans for the day
Eighth - Your wedding day!
Ninth - Sneak peek previews are sent within a week online
Tenth - 4-8 weeks after your wedding you will receive your full wedding gallery online
Eleventh - You will receive your USB/albums etc. if you have ordered extras in your package
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
There are so many great moments to capture on the day... but if you're considering a confetti shot, do it! It's a fantastic way to capture the laughter, fun, happiness and get all your guests involved to celebrate!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
An owl flying in towards the groom as the ring bearer in mid-flight with his full wing-span to wow the guests at lightening speed!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I do have a transparent umbrella I carry with me if you wanted to brave the rain for some bride & groom portraits in the rain - it create a great atmosphere for rainy wedding shots!
Describe how you got into photography.
I was interested in photography aged 13 when I got my first digital camera. I enjoyed the social aspect the camera offered and that really influenced me. I felt people came together for a photo and I wanted that moment to be captured. Ever since I've always loved taking portraits and loved the atmosphere at events - wedding photography was the answer as it fulfilled everything I love about photography!
